Wednesday - Herveys Bay

After Byrons Bay, the road ahead was long. While sitting on the beach i'd called about renting car from cairns, only to find out its a 22 hour drive, and i'd have to have the car for 2 days which brought the cost up significantly especially when I factored in the fuel i'd spend. This gave me a lot to think about. The advantage of having the van is the mobility and ability to get to distant places the disadvantage is that it takes away my spontaneity. I finally found a maccas to charge up the laptop and research my options. And against my best judgement, i've planned ahead again. I now fly back from cairns on sunday morning, meaning I can revisit the beaches along the gold coast and maybe get a surf in :-) with that off my mind I could think about tonights stop, and decided the fly falling dead as they came through the window meant that I probably needed to shower, and to wash my clothes. Living on limited clothing has that downfall, so I needed to find a hostel for the night. Now I dont have enough time to visit fraser island, but what better way to tease myself than go to a hostel within sight of it. Its another early start tomorrow, but its been great to be among other humans again, and internet access. The pictures have been commented and slightly updated, there are still more to come but im working on them! Another day early start tomorrow, but its going to be worth it when I get to relax and party in Cairns!
